NURS 631: Integration of Professional Nursing for the RN
Strategic Planning Project Paper
Project Intent: apply theory from all course modules of NURS 631 into an evidence based project that
could impact a healthcare setting. This paper will challenge students to actualize the management and
leadership role in order to develop a strategic planning health care system change using the Donabedian
model (Structure Process Outcome).
Case exemplar: SBAR (situation background assessment recommendations) nurse to interdisciplinary
professional communication on a medical surgical unit.
Note: this paper topic may be the same used in your QI poster.
Guidelines: 10 15 page typed paper excluding appendices using APA 6th edition.
